Handling requests for access to employee personal information pursuant to the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) or the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP) can be complex.  

In this session, Vicki Giles and Jennifer Davis discuss the responsibilities of employers when responding to employee requests for access to personal information under PIPA or FOIP. This is intended to be an introductory session for those new to dealing with access requests for personal information.
