Ron Kruhlak Honoured on National Philanthropy Day
Congratulations to Ron Kruhlak, Q.C., who was honoured on November 8th for his contribution to Edmonton’s charitable community as part of the city’s National Philanthropy Day celebration. Ron was nominated by the Alberta Emerald Foundation, and they wrote in their nomination:
Ron Kruhlak is a founding member of the Alberta Emerald Foundation. While we appreciate all of our Founders and our Friends along the way, Ron's continued dedication and hard work for over our 22-year history is remarkable! Ron served as a board member for twenty years, and continues to serve as a member and advisor to our organization. He helps in so many ways - as a sounding board, as an ambassador, as a donor, as a recruiter, and always helping to ensure we're on the right track. Ron Kruhlak has been with our organization every step of the way as we have grown and blossomed over the past 22 years and our successes are a reflection of his dedicated commitment to our cause.
It is uncommon for people to share their time so generously with a cause for so many years. Ron's passion for recognizing, celebrating and inspiring environmental excellence and his optimism in regards to our provinces' environmental leaders is second to none. We consider Ron a "grandfather" of the Alberta Emerald Foundation, and while so much of his hard work has gone unrecognized, we wish to celebrate him today.
