Ron Kruhlak Appointed King's Counsel

Every two years, Alberta lawyers may be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the legal profession or in public life by being appointed as "Her Majesty's Counsel, learned in the law, for the Province of Alberta," otherwise known as King's Counsel, by the Lieutenant Governor in Council.

On December 31, 2011, appointments for 2012 were announced, with McLennan Ross LLP partner Ron Kruhlak among those appointed.

To be eligible for a King's Counsel appointment, individuals may be nominated or may apply, and must meet the requirements of the King's Counsel Act, including professional qualities, competence, and superior contributions to the administration of justice, the legal profession and the community.

Congratulations to Ron on his appointment.
