McLennan Ross is pleased to announce that Samantha Kernahan, Ryan Martin and Robert Muller have been named as partners with the firm.
Samantha advises clients on all aspects of business law: corporate organizations and restructurings, purchase and sale transactions, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, secured financing, commercial real estate transactions and supply agreements of all types, including professional services. Samantha also regularly advises clients on commercial opportunities to maximize the value of both traditional and intellectual property assets. She offers her clients expertise in information technology and intellectual property law, regularly advising on enterprise software acquisition, digital assets (domain names and web-based copyright), data management agreements, anti-spam legislation, intellectual property licensing programs and infringement disputes. Samantha is a also Registered Trade-mark Agent with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and her practice includes trade-mark applications and trade-mark disputes. Samantha's practice also involves representing clients whose commercial interests include intellectual property licensing programs, enterprise software acquisition and infringement actions arising from copyright, trade-mark and patent assets.
Ryan’s practice focuses on insurance and risk management and commercial litigation. He has experience acting as coverage counsel for international and national insurers and litigation involving CGL risk insurance, products liability insurance, professional liability insurance, directors’ and officers’ liability insurance, property insurance and motor vehicle insurance. He has acted for insurers in claims arising from construction losses, fire losses, motor vehicle accidents and slip and falls. Ryan’s commercial litigation practice includes litigating products liability claims, breach of contract claims, shareholder disputes, and construction disputes. He also advises clients regarding compliance with sale of goods and consumer protection legislation.
Robert practices in the area of insurance and risk management and construction litigation. He has significant experience representing a number of national and international insurers with respect to casualty, property and professional liability claims. In the area of construction litigation, Rob has acted for both large and small residential home builders as well as trades and home owners regarding a variety of construction disputes, including Builders’ Lien matters.
