Henry Wise Wood School Receives Ron Kruhlak Award for Emerging Youth

Congratulations to the students at Henry Wise Wood School who were the recipients of the 2014 Ron Kruhlak Award for Emerging Youth at the 23rd annual Emerald Awards held on June 5th.

The students used funds granted as a part of The Alberta Emerald Foundation's Youth Environmental Engagement Grant program to introduce a comprehensive water education and engagement program at their school and saw tremendous interest and pick up among their peers.  Their report back to the Alberta Emerald Foundation was very detailed and they indicated plans to build upon their Water Education program. For this, The Alberta Emerald Fountadtion felt they were the most outstanding grant recipient this year and also the most promising and they hope to see them nominate for an Emerald Award in the future.

At the Awards show, a group of students from Henry Wise Wood School enthusiastically accepted the award from Michael Barbero, a lawyer in McLennan Ross's Enviromental, Energy & Regulatory Practice Group.
