The Education Law Year in Review 2020 was presented by Teresa Haykowsky, David Risling, James Lingwood, Jennifer Davis and Allison Rudzitis.
The webinar included a summary of the most significant and interesting cases impacting Alberta school authorities in the areas of labour and employment law affecting teachers and non-teaching staff, arbitral case law, human rights, the duty to accommodate, OHS updates, psychological harassment, student safety, privacy and updates in commercial law with a focus on commercial leases.
The focus was on on providing practical comments on how changes to the law affected the work done by school authorities in 2021 and lessons learned over the past year.
