Restriction on Flagpoling
Certain visa-exempt temporary residents are eligible to “flagpole” by leaving Canada and then shortly thereafter apply for a new visa or permit upon their re-entry.
On May 30, 2024, some of the busiest land crossings began to restrict the hours when they will process immigration applications. The restrictions are listed by location below.
