Tom Ndekezi is a student-at-law in our Edmonton office.

Tom earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Victoria. Prior to law school, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta, graduating with Distinction. Tom was actively involved in student journalism during his undergraduate degree, first as a senior volunteer contributor for The Gateway and later as the magazine's Arts and Culture Editor.

In law school, Tom volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and the Appeal Law Review, as well as competed in the 2023 Julius Alexander Isaac Moot, winning the award for the top individual participant. Tom was also an executive of the Black Law Students' Association (BLSA), where he helped implement the first Black Admissions Stream at the University of Victoria Faculty of Law. Tom was nominated to the BLSA Canada board in his final year of law school, where he helped serve a national network of hundreds of Black law students, lawyers, and legal professionals.

Tom's current legal interests are in the areas of litigation and constitutional law.

In his free time, Tom enjoys writing, creating podcasts, and working out.
