In his diverse litigation practice, Robert has considerable experience solving legal issues for clients both in and out of court. He handles trials arising out of a wide variety of factual and legal settings, with particular emphasis on insurance and construction matters. He draws upon his in-depth knowledge of both industries to devise strategies that achieve his clients’ goals efficiently and effectively. He is a proponent of utilizing various forms of alternative dispute resolution, including judicial dispute resolution, in order to obtain timely and cost-effective resolutions.
Robert has significant experience representing national and international insurers with respect to casualty, property, and professional liability claims. He has an excellent understanding of the “nuts and bolts” of property losses involving design and construction issues and is frequently called upon to provide counsel with respect to insurance matters involving industrial accidents. Robert regularly defends personal injury claims, particularly multifactorial claims involving psychological and socioeconomic elements.
Never one to shy away from a difficult case, Rob's practice touches on many aspects of litigation. In the area of construction litigation, Robert has acted for both large and small residential home builders as well as trades and homeowners regarding a variety of construction disputes. Robert has also represented engineers and architects with respect to professional liability claims involving various claims in negligence and contract.
