Chuck Russell, K.C. has provided practical and timely advice to lenders, receivers, trustees in bankruptcy and debtors for more than 40 years. He is a partner and King's Counsel with extensive knowledge in restructuring, reorganizations, and insolvency.
Known for his negotiation skills, Chuck handles corporate restructuring and reorganizations, receiverships, and bankruptcies for corporations and individuals in a broad range of industries. He advises lenders on methods of securitizing loans and acts as counsel to clients in all manner of situations, including debtors in restructurings, lenders in realization proceedings, and receivers, monitors, and trustees in bankruptcies. He is well-versed in the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) and has assisted with saving his clients hundreds of millions of dollars through the adroit restructuring of their business and financial affairs.
Whether helping an organization plot a course through the complexities of restructuring or handling insolvencies on behalf of a lender, Chuck counsels his clients through the process to ensure they fully understand the risks and opportunities.
