We are pleased to introduce our 2019 Summer Students.
Samantha has just completed her first year with the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto and will graduate in 2021. Prior to law school, Samantha worked for the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour in Ottawa and looks forward to applying the skills she learned in Government and politics to her practice in law. She is a foodie who loves to travel and is hoping to visit Asia in the near future.
Kristen is currently finished her first year of Law at the University of Alberta and will graduate in 2021. She grew up in Calgary and obtained Bachelor of Health Sciences Honours degree majoring in Health and Society from the University of Calgary. She has a keen interest in how the law intersects with ethics, health and Indigenous issues. Kristen is a regular dodgeball player and loves to go to the dog park with her pyredoodle named Brie. She spends her spare time serving the low income community as a volunteer with Student Legal Services.
Nicole has finished her first year at Dalhousie University in Halifax, but is originally from Calgary and will graduate with her law degree in 2021. She graduated from Mount Royal University in 2011 with a Degree in Business and worked in human resources in the Oil & Gas industry for seven years before pursuing her law degree. Nicole supported the legal team in her previous role and realized that she wanted to go into law after gaining more exposure to dealing with people and various legal matters in an organization. She loves living on the East coast for school and even brought her boxer-bulldog Oscar, across the country and back again with her.
