Yutian (Constance) Jiang

Constance is an enthusiastic and responsive bilingual advocate for her clients. She strives to achieve her clients’ desired outcomes through a pragmatic, detailed and personable approach.

Her practice focuses on commercial and insurance litigation. Having represented clients in matters involving various industries, she has experience in contractual disputes, debt recovery and risk management. In addition, she is a member of the firm’s immigration law practice group, where she regularly assists clients in navigating the complicated Canadian immigration system. She also regularly assists administrative organization clients in conducting legal research and providing legal opinions.

Constance has appeared in the Alberta Court of Justice and Alberta Court of King’s Bench.

Prior to arriving in Canada, Constance successfully passed the National Civil Law Examination of the People’s Republic of China, which is the Chinese equivalent to the Bar Admission Examination. Constance’s professional experience in China includes working as a Legal Specialist. In her capacity as Legal Specialist, she represented the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Chengdu Branch and sub-branches in lawsuits as an in-house lawyer. She was responsible for supervising lawsuit-related work, analyzing statutes, researching legal precedents, providing legal advice, drafting case reports for each file with an emphasis on risk management.

Active in her community, Constance’s volunteer experience includes working with Student Legal Services of Edmonton, Edmonton Immigration Services and Pro Bono Law Alberta – Civil Claims Duty Counsel.

She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Sichuanese.
