Prior to completing his Juris Doctor at the University of Calgary in 2019, Nathanael received a Bachelor of Arts (Criminology and Criminal Justice – Honours) with a Concentration in Law from Carleton University.
Nathanael worked two consecutive summers as a law student for the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service where he conducted research, managed files, drafted submissions and attended court as a second-seat for note taking and assistance in criminal trials. During law school, he worked as a caseworker for Student Legal Assistance where he also gained significant court experience. In addition, Nathanael also worked as a part-time student intern at a law firm in Ontario where he became familiar with filing court documents, drafting affidavits and conducting extensive legal research.
Nathanael enjoys the outdoors and various sports including soccer, volleyball, hockey and softball and regularly participates in these activities. He has honed his public speaking skills through participating on the Carleton University Debate team, Moot team (Osgoode Cup) and has acted in numerous community theatre productions.
