Matthew is a student-at-law in the McLennan Ross Calgary office.
Prior to completing his Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta in 2020, Matthew earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology also from the University of Alberta, graduating with distinction.
Throughout law school, Matthew was actively involved with Student Legal Services of Edmonton, Civil and Family Law Project. In his capacity as Summer Caseworker and Dayleader, he conducted a trial in Provincial Court, several Residential Tenancy Dispute Resolution Service hearings, attended mediations, JDRs, docket court hearings, and conducted legal research.
Matthew also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and the Edmonton Community Legal Centre. In addition to his volunteer work, Matthew’s extensive work history in customer service and management afford him a client-centered perspective.
Outside of law, Matthew is passionate about hockey – both as a player and fan. He enjoys playing slo-pitch, hiking and is known for being a creative cook.
