Mandy brings substantial experience representing and advising clients on a range of issues including property damage, personal injury, product liability and professional liability. She excels at navigating complex litigation matters and has a reputation for skillful negotiation. Mandy has appeared before the Court of Appeal, Queen’s Bench, Masters’ Chambers, Provincial Court and in Superior Court in Ontario.
Recently Mandy worked as legal counsel for the Justice and Solicitor General advising the Ministry of Labour and Immigration. Matters included risk management on government policy initiatives and advising on legislation drafting related to revisions to the Employment Standards Code and Workers’ Compensation Act including components of the Farm Freedom and Safety Act. She also drafted submissions for Occupational Health and Safety appeals to the Labour Relations Board and advised the Employment Standards Registrar.
Mandy received her J.D. from the University of Windsor. While attending University, she worked as a Litigator for Community Legal Aid, litigating both civil and criminal trials, advocating for clients at resolution discussions with Crown counsel, and representing clients on dispositions.
Mandy’s thorough and precise research style is a product of her academic background. She worked as a teacher and lecturer in various locations across the globe including England, Thailand, the Bahamas and Kenya.
