Kristen is a resourceful and conscientious lawyer who places her clients’ needs first and offers solutions that align with their business realities.
Kristen practices in all areas of labour and employment law and has a particular interest in creating a meaningful, positive impact on workplaces.
In her practice, Kristen provides legal advice to a wide range of employers on a variety of workplace matters, including drafting policies and agreements, assisting in wrongful dismissal and constructive dismissal claims, human rights claims, incidents of workplace harassment and violence, performance management, and labour relations. She regularly assists with workplace investigations and the resolution of workplace disputes.
Kristen also lends her skills to administrative law and general litigation work. She has worked on a variety of civil litigation proceedings at levels of court in Alberta, British Columbia, and at the Federal Court.
As a strategic advocate, Kristen employs an innovative and practical approach to managing legal matters. Whether the client is an individual or corporation, she strives to resolve conflicts creatively and efficiently.
Prior to her legal career, Kristen conducted health research on the opioid crisis in Alberta and presented her findings at a national conference. While in law school, Kristen participated in the Kawaskimhon National Moot Competition, a negotiation focused on Aboriginal and Indigenous Law. Kristen is passionate about making the legal profession more inclusive and equitable.
