Practical by nature, Kathleen provides clients with reliable legal guidance to position themselves for success both now and in the future.
Kathleen is an experienced litigator with a nuanced understanding of the construction industry. She has represented owners and contractors in matters relating to builders' liens, payment issues, and dispute arbitration. Kathleen is skilled in managing complicated arbitration hearings and she has been involved in an arbitration concerning the construction of major municipal infrastructure projects. In addition, she has acted for homeowners in disputes with contractors.
Clients also benefit from Kathleen’s ability to advise them on insurance-related matters. She has experience advocating for both individuals and corporations in property damage claims and regularly advises on personal injury defence.
In the past, Kathleen has appeared before both the Alberta Provincial Court and the Court of King's Bench.
Kathleen devotes both time and focus to each client matter. She combines deep legal knowledge with the ability to make difficult concepts accessible to provide straightforward and effective advice.
Kathleen contributes her time and expertise to promote access to justice in Alberta through the Pro Bono Civil Claims Duty Counsel.
