Karen's practice focuses on all forms of estate planning, specializing in estate planning for business owners and individuals who have complicated situations.

With over 30 years of experience in estate planning, trusts, estate administration and dependency claims, Karen is able to provide a wealth of knowledge to her clients. She assists clients with prenuptial and cohabitation agreements as part of an estate plan and has extensive experience with mediation in estates.

Karen takes a practical approach to her client's matters, with a view to saving them the time and money. Her focus is on what is best for the client and whenever possible she approaches litigation from the point of settlement as she believes that in most situations this is in the best interest of the client.

Some of Karen's files have included issues of domicile, large estate administration including a number of companies and assets in multiple jurisdictions and defense of clients' interests in a family business following their father's death.

Karen regularly contributes written materials to various publications, both for the legal profession and for the public.
