Justine efficiently and effectively develops creative strategies at all stages of litigation. She takes the time to understand her client’s perspective and provides a forthright assessment of the matter at hand.
As a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, Justine routinely represents clients in various aspects of civil and insurance litigation, including bankruptcy and collections proceedings, disputes pertaining to agreements amongst shareholders, commercial and residential lease agreements, and construction agreements.
In her growing professional liability practice she has defended appraisers, insurance agents, and lawyers in professional negligence claims. Justine has appeared in Alberta’s Court of King's Bench and its Provincial Court and has assisted senior counsel before Alberta’s Court of Appeal.
Justine’s greatest strength as a lawyer is her ability to problem-solve. She takes pride in being able to recommend thoughtful and effective solutions to legal issues. Clients appreciate her accessibility as well as the attention and consideration she affords to each client.
Justine dedicates much of her time to community initiatives and professional organizations including Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association, Women's Legal Forum, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Civil Claims Duty Counsel via Pro Bono Law Alberta.
