Iain’s interest in economics assists him in using resources efficiently as litigation counsel. He recognizes that a sound understanding of the law needs to be combined with practical strategies in order to achieve meaningful results. Iain adopts a client-focused approach to his practice, striving to apply creative thinking while ensuring that clients fully understand the legal process and their options.

Iain has obtained successful results for his clients as lead counsel and second counsel in actions before the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench. He has also assisted in obtaining numerous successful outcomes before administrative tribunals and labour arbitration boards.

During his time at law school, Iain was an executive member of the UBC Law Rugby team and appeared in court on a pro bono basis with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program (LSLAP). Outside of the law Iain enjoys golf, rugby, strength training, fantasy sports and hiking.
