An analytical thinker and skilled strategist, Graham’s collected demeaner arises from his exhaustive preparation and commitment to identifying appropriate solutions for clients. He brings depth of experience and pragmatism to each matter.
Graham represents clients facing litigation through all phases of the process. His litigation experience spans a wide variety of industries including construction, commercial, and insurance and risk management. He is particularly skilled in advising and representing clients in matters relating to construction disputes, contractual disputes, debt collection, and defamation claims. He also regularly advises government and industry clients with respect to regulatory issues, bylaw & policy interpretation, and bylaw enforcement.
In his construction litigation practice, Graham routinely acts for project owners, contractors, and suppliers in disputes arising with respect to industrial, commercial, and residential construction projects. He is well-versed in assisting clients facing builders' liens, delay claims, tendering disputes and construction deficiency claims.
Graham has experience resolving disputes through mediation, arbitration, the Courts, and other forms of dispute resolution. However, whenever possible he applies the insight attained through his years as a litigator to help clients identify and defuse potential issues before they escalate and become litigation.
Clients have come to know Graham as responsive, attentive, and thorough. Beyond simply providing a legal analysis or assessment, he always offers recommendations for next steps and explains the strategy supporting those recommendations. Graham regularly shares his considerable legal knowledge by publishing and presenting on construction law topics, as well as volunteering for the Pro Bono Law Alberta - Civil Claims Duty Counsel.
