Erik focuses his practice on bankruptcy and insolvency, debt recovery (including secured and unsecured debts), post-judgment enforcement, and commercial litigation.
He aims to find meaningful and enduring resolutions to financial difficulties without the need for protracted and costly litigation. However, he is skilled and capable in bankruptcy and litigation if such actions become necessary or appropriate. His commercial litigation experience encompasses a variety of matters, including professional negligence and injunctions.
Having previously worked as a clerk of the court, Erik has a keen understanding of the essential aspects of civil procedure. Clients benefit from the insight he has acquired working for various provincial entities focused on the Alberta legal system.
