Christopher’s approach relies upon listening, identifying common ground, and working towards a resolution that best suits his clients. He is skilled at distilling complex legal concepts and relaying information in plain language.

Christopher represents employers and businesses on matters related to all legal aspects of employer-employee relations, human rights complaints, and collective bargaining. Raised in Yellowknife, he is proud to have earned the trust of a variety of clients throughout the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, including individuals, small businesses, governments, Indigenous governments, insurers, and corporations.

Christopher also litigates on behalf of clients in matters before the Supreme and Territorial Courts of the Northwest Territories, the Nunavut Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal for the Northwest Territories, and the Federal Court of Canada.

In his highly nuanced area of practice, the resolution to an issue can often be found in the details. As a results-focused advocate, Christopher puts his extensive experience to work examining all the details in order to confidently assess and advise his clients on next steps.

While Christopher finds his work incredibly rewarding, he stills looks for ways to give back to his community. He is currently the President of the Law Society of the Northwest Territories and the former Chair of the Labour and Employment Section of the Canadian Bar Association – Northwest Territories Branch (“CBA-NT”). Christopher is a former member of the National Board of Directors of the Canadian Bar Association and has served as Branch President of the CBA-NT. He has also served on the 2019 Organizing Team for The NWT Miracle and the 2019 Executive Committee for NWT Pride.
